The Impact Squad traveled a couple weeks ago during the University of Tennessee's fall break to Memphis to visit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN to hand deliver hats to patients.
It was an incredible trip! At Le Bonheur, we got to visit patients door to door. We saw families on several floors and the team did an amazing job. At St. Jude, we set up outside the cafeteria (sponsored by Kay's), visited with patients, made a craft and gave them a hat as they left their time at our event.
At St. Jude we donated our 3,000th hat since our launch in 2015! I'm so thankful for each of you who have made this possible. God is using your time, talent and creativity to greatly impact the lives of those fighting serious illnesses!
Our recap video says it all but it was an amazing couple of days. Check it out below!
UT Medical Center Cocoon Project for NICU Families
We are thrilled to be able to serve the families in the NICU at UT Medical Center again this Halloween! Remember last year when we donated cocoon + letter packets to them? We're doing so again this year and will be collecting them until Friday, October 26. Below we have a link to the story that was done last year about this fun day. It shows some sweet pictures of our visit! We're so thankful to be able to serve them again and grateful to YOU, our volunteers, who are so creative with ideas for new patterns.
It's an exciting season here at 818 Ministries and we're pumped about the opportunities below to impact the lives of patients fighting serious illnesses. It would be an honor if you would join us in praying over this fall as we assemble our team of volunteers, pack all of the items we'll be giving away, arrange travel plans, etc.
If you're unable to join us for an Impact Squad visit this fall but feel a burden to partner with us, you can join our community of partners by partnering with us financially by clicking here!
I'm so excited to share my new blog with you called Do The Thing Movement! During the last year and a half or so, I've gotten the opportunity to walk alongside many other creative entrepreneurs on a similar journey. I felt a burden to walk alongside them and offer mentorship that we sometimes feel that we're lacking about entrepreneurship, leadership, personal growth, etc.
I'm so excited to share what God's teaching me and tips I've learned from others. I already have a TON of content there for you to check out. Feel free to subscribe on the home page of the website to become a "Do The Thing Movement Insider" and join the Facebook group called Do The Thing Movement Insiders. I'd love to see you over there (and for some motivation to check it out, I have a pretty cool giveaway going on this week on the blog!).
Cheering for you,
Founder, 818 Ministries
